Description:

Mushahid Green Climate Change and Bio-River Engineering Model is an original research-based artwork by renowned artist, inventor, and researcher Alhaz GK Mushahid, presenting a nature-based approach to riverbank protection, climate resilience, and environmental sustainability.

The model explores the use of Palmyra Palms along riverbanks, focusing on their deep and extensive root systems as a potential natural method for strengthening and stabilising riverbanks. The concept also considers carbon storage, oxygen production, soil-moisture conservation, natural windbreaks, biodiversity, and protection against environmental hazards.

Through this model, the artist explores whether tree-based bio-engineering can provide a sustainable complement or alternative to conventional riverbank protection methods. The artwork combines environmental research, engineering concepts, and artistic innovation to promote nature-based solutions for climate adaptation.

The artwork is created on real thin-tailed sheepskin, using Keratin-Collagen Lock Technology, an innovative artistic canvas developed through Alhaz GK Mushahid’s research.
